Founder of Do The Math

I got into education because I had a hard time going through school myself. I am neurodiverse and from an early age knew that my brain works differently than most of my peers. I wanted to become a teacher so I could make a difference in students lives the way my teachers made a difference for me.

I went to Humboldt State University, now Cal poly Humboldt, where I got a math degree with an emphasis in education. I continued on to get a secondary teaching credential for high school math. From Northern California I moved to Portland where I became a teacher serving under served populations. In 2017 I started a tutoring business and haven't looked back. I love teaching math, and really enjoy being a part of the positive impact tutoring can be for students.
